I recently converted to the bullet journal movement and I can honestly say, it’s changed my life. Not only has bullet journaling created some structure to the mess that is my life, it has also become an incremental part of my personal development journey and becoming a better version of myself. I spent the day scouring the internet for some creative page ideas and made a list of all the pages I have created in my journal. So whether you are short of ideas or you just want to see some things that will pique your imagination and add more life to your BuJo, here is a list of bullet journal ideas that will surely inspire your next entry!

Favorite Bullet Journal Supplies
For my first ever bullet journal I purchased this all in one set from Amazon. This set hit a home run with me because it met all my needs and then some!
For my second bujo I got this pink journal from Amazon
My go-to pens are the Uni-Ball Gel Ink Pens because I can write/draw for hours without hurting my knuckles.
I use Washi tape around the edges of my pages to highlight different sections. Amazon has this great deal of 48 really cute rolls for under $8
I honestly just got these colored pens because they had so many great reviews on Amazon and I’m so glad I did. I’ve used them for over a year now and they haven’t dried out. I bought this set of 18 different colored pens for $8.
Do you want to start Bullet Journaling but don’t have a lot of money to start?
Bujo supplies shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, in fact, it’s a lot cheaper than you might think!

#1. Monthly, Weekly, & Daily Spreads
Keep your life organized with monthly, weekly, and daily to-do lists.
Productivity hack: Determine the hardest 3 things that you need to do each day and complete these things first thing in the morning when you’re at your peak energy levels. Just doing this every day will give you the extra confidence and you’ll be surprised at how much you actually accomplish throughout the week.
#2 Habit Tracker
Of all of the bullet journal ideas in this post, keeping a habit tracker in your journal is by far the most productive.
They say it takes 21 days to create a habit and a habit page in your bullet journal is the best way to track your progress. A habit tracker has been phenomenal for building positive habits and breaking down bad habits. I am able to monitor the time between habits and keep an honest account of my growth. I would highly suggest that everyone who is trying to break bad habits give this spread a shot.
#3 Important Dates like Birthdays
I am the absolute worst when it comes to birthdays. I used to remember them only because facebook would remind me. But I’m a millennial and like so many others, I stopped using the facebook years ago. I tried to keep track of them on a sheet of paper but it kept disappearing. So I created an extra section in my Bullet Journal for important dates like birthday, events, and meetings.
If you are the kind of person who loves to send cards, gifts or even just a text for someone’s birthday, having one place to find all of the birthdays you want to track in one spot is a great way to stay on top of it.
#4 Sleep Tracker
Getting the right amount of sleep in the evenings is absolutely essential to maintaining a happy and productive life. Too little or too much sleep can indicate depression, and even underlying health problems. Create a log in your bullet journal in order to keep track of the number of hours you sleep so you can stay on top of your health.
#5 Key
I like to use different colors/symbols for different types of events, chores, and to-dos. A key helps me understand which symbols mean what.
#6 Goals & Vision Board
A great place to list everything you want to accomplish in life. I tend to update my list of goals on a weekly basis. That may be way too much for most, but that’s because I do a weekly writing challenge that includes 70 questions to help me determine what I should focus on in life, my passions, and my dreams. For a complete list of the questions I ask myself, you can read 70 Questions For Personal Growth.
#7 Budget, Savings, & Expense Tracker
Whether you are getting out of debt, or want to track expenses, your new bullet journal notebook can keep it all!
Track your savings in your Bullet Journal so that you can actually afford to travel to your bucket list destinations this year! This handy little spread can help you prepare for it early.
This spread in my bujo also helped me get out of debt and was an aesthetically pleasing way to track all of my expenses. I have an envelope saved to the back of one of the pages so that I have a place to store business receipts 🙂
#8 Meal Planner
Putting together a weekly meal plan will help you achieve your weight and health goals this year. I really have to watch out for what I eat (I get mood swings otherwise). Planning out my meals and sugar intake has mellowed out my mood and has helped me lose weight!

#9 Books To Read
If you’re a fan of my blog, you know that I have many references to the books I read & I often end up Barnes and Noble more often then I’d like to admit. So yes, I have way too many books that I haven’t even touched yet, and they end up gathering up dust next to my bed. My ‘books to read’ page in my bujo reminds me of what I’m reading next 🙂
Check out 15 Books That Will Change Your Life – it’s a list of my favorite and most transformative (fiction & nonfiction) books to read.
#10 Shopping List
A great place to store all those things you need to buy from the grocery store as you plan out your meals for the week. Sure, keeping a shopping list isn’t really a life-changing Bullet Journal idea… I still find it quite useful to keep an empty page cuz I often end up forgetting looseleaf notes at home (Hello, ADHD).
#11 Gratitude Log
There is nothing as lovely and pure as gratitude. Writing down a few things you are grateful for every day is a surefire way to a more happy life in the long run. Keeping a gratitude log is so simple and quick that I’m amazed everyone doesn’t do it!
#12 Daily Affirmations
There was a time in my life where I was down in the dumps post-breakup and I had zero and I repeat zero self-confidence. That’s when I started really getting into self-improvement youtube videos and also where I learned about affirmations. Boy, have things changed since then! I even created a voice memo from my daily affirmations bullet journal spread with a little background music and I listen to the affirmations on my walks. It really helps!
If you tell yourself something enough times, you will really start to believe it :):)
#13 Daily Routine
Kind of like the daily spread but for routines – a set of behaviors that you train your body to do every day at exactly the same time. Routines are absolutely crucial for entrepreneurs and stay-at-home moms!
#14 Mood Tracker
It may just be because my zodiac sign is cancer, but I’m one moody little girl. Some days are worse than others, and I like to keep track of my moods in order to get some insight. I have a meal log behind the mood tracker just because I find that what I eat in a day has a HUGE impact on my mood. This bullet journal idea has actually transformed the way that I eat and now I have found that I feel great 98% of the time.
#15 Self Care
Having a self-care routine in place will help you get out of your thoughts and put you in a state of relaxation. I recently realized that I’m prone to anxiety in the wake of big events so I keep a running list of self-care activities that will put me back into my ‘zen state’.
#16 Bucket List
Keep a bucket list entry page in your journal for all of the experiences you’d like to have this year. A great way to keep track of the countries, cities, activities, and hotels you’d like to stay in on your summer vacation.

#17 Password Page
The password page is another one of those bujo must-haves.
#18 Cleaning Schedule
Scheduling when your going to clean throughout the week is a surefire way to avoid pesky dust bunnies from forming.
#19 A Reminder of all the Things That Make You Happy
Really useful if you’re having a crappy day.
#20 Shopping List For House
It’s impossible to scroll through Pinterest without finding some new things you’d like to add to your home. I like to keep a list of my home ideas in my bullet journal. Sure it’s, one of the more obscure bullet journal page ideas, but trust me, a shopping list helps you stick to buying only what you need instead of going into credit card debt at Restoration Hardware.
